Cooling off on a hot Sunday afternoon. Our Sunday afternoons will be a little less hectic since the preacher called of Sunday night services due the the cost of gas.

We took Li'l Britches to the English Reunion Saturday night. I tried to get a picture of him riding the Tornado but it was going too fast. I got that on below when he got off.

The daughter of a sawmill man has to learn the hard stuff too.

They are building a fort in the woods behind the sawmill. At least it kept them busy and out of trouble.

Yes, That's my girl! I had an order to put a hummingbird on this bench. Now if they will just come and pick it up and pay for it.



This bench will be going by a grave here at Jericho Church cemetery.

We have a new sign outside the shop now. I am making another to hang under this one.

Here is Terry's latest creations. He bought a bunch of wheeled dollies at an auction and had the bright idea to use the wheels to make wheelbarrows. He's made 3 now and is asking about $45 or $50 each.

The guy that own White Oak Cabins saw this piece of wood and thought it looked like an oak tree. He wanted Terry to find a nice stump and make a table out of it. I have 2 coats of varnish on the top. It looks really nice.

The bottom two pictures were emailed to blogger while we were fishing but for some reason I couldn't get the last 3 to send so I came home and uploaded them. Thats about a 3 ft. carp she has on the end of that pole but we never got to see it before it broke the line.

If only it would quit raining! The flowers are blooming beautifully now but the rain is making them all fall over. I think this lavender one above is my favorite. Of course the picture does not do it justice. It is a really rich lavender color. I wish you could see it. Does any one have any that I don't have? I would be willing to trade. I haven't gotten all the pictures posted yet, I am waiting for a nice sunny day to get some good pictures.

They are coming on pretty fast now. That last rain didn't help them any, it wants to knock them over. I am amazed how much better the digital cameras take pictures of flowers. I had pictures of these that I took with the film camera and I had to delete all of them because the colors were so bad. The digital takes them so true to life.

Sis found a cat today. It came up to her while she was fishing at the pond. It is a long haired, orange and white tom. It must have been on its own for quit some time because its fur was so matted and it was covered in ticks. She brought it in and put it in a cage until I had time to work on it. Tonight I got my sissors out and a pair of tweezers and got to work. Both sides of its body was so matted that I had to take the sissors and get under the mat and cut it away and it peeled off like a blanket. I know it must have hurt to have the hair pulled so tight. It was so tight to the body that I did snip the skin a couple times where I could hardly get the sissors in between. Now it has both sides shaved to the skin and has a mohawk about two inches wide all the way down his back. We just stuck him back outside by the food bowl when we were done. I don't know if we will ever see him again but I know he is going away feeling better then he came.

Here is the next batch to show their colors. I can only find maybe one or two plants that may not bloom. This is going to be a pretty good year for iris.

The Meetin Place isn't going to do what I thought it would. I thought that when each one of you guys would blog on Blogger that it would show up there but it isn't showing there. So, plan B, If everybody wants to move over there and blog on that page instead of on Blogger then you can also read all the blogs there. You can upload photos and everything just like here. It may be to big a change and to much bother but it is there if you want to.
