My new walkway

Here is a picture of my new rock path to go with my new porch. Now that was some heavy lifting! All the rocks were here in the yard and I just had to dig them up and rearrange them. I think they were chimney rocks that they used to make walkways when the chimney was torn down. Shhhhh..... there are two girls sleeping in that tent right now.

Baby bluebirds

This nest box is at the edge of our garden with 5 cute little babies. I am just glad that I am not the one feeding them!

So sorry to hear about your sick puppy, Sharon. The worst thing about having animals is having to watch them be sick. I hope she feels better soon. My big guy, Whiskers, has been coughing a lot and has slowed way down on our walks. I suspect he has heartworms. I can't remember exactly when we got him but he has to be about 10-12 years old. Hoe can you resist those big brown eyes? I  know I can't!

He moved his sawmill back over to Ray's so he wouldn't have to haul the logs. It was hot! so he decided to put a roof over it. We did all this last night and this evening.

My mothers day present

We are sad again...

We lost our other squirrel last night. He was fine, we had him out playing in the living room for a while and he looked and acted normal. I put him back in the cage and Sis went back to feed him a treat about an hour later and found him in his nest, dead. Is it something we did? I wish I knew. We are sad again.

Feathered Friends

All of my African Violets are blooming! I set up E's hunting blind in the yard and with my telephoto lens, I was about 6 feet from these birds. They are so colorful!! This is a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. They are only in the area for a couple of weeks as they pass through.

What a beauty!

This is a Pine Siskin. They eat the Niger seed, right along side of the Goldfinches.

A Red Headed Woodpecker. There have been lots of these in the last month.

Have you ever wished we could all write on the same blog so we could all see everybody's blog on the same page? Well, if you haven't, I have. I finally figured it out. If I add each of you as administraters on my blog then all of you can write and add photos to the same page. I did add you as administraters so you can all blog here on the same page. I chose my blog only because it it the only one that I can change the settings on to be able to add you. I am not sure how it works but I am sure you can figure it out. If you don't want to do it this way, no problem, we can continue as we have been but I just thought it might be easier then having to move from one page to another. I sent out emails about it too.

Hi Andrea, I see all the chatter here on FB about you guys selling your house but I don't know any details. You will be moving to Tulsa? When will you be going and is this for a job change?

Yes we will be moving because of Cody's job. We are really excited about the move. The moving truck will be here to pick up our things on the 21st of this month, so we have just a few more weeks left in Florida. We have a renter for our townhouse here and we just finalized a 3 bedroom apartment in Tulsa!! We wanted a house so badly, but it just didn't work out yet. We'll send pics when we get there!

We wish you well and will be praying for you. Can't wait for pics.

Knock, knock..... is this thing on?

Sarah and Timmy went fishing tonight. I didn't see any fish but they were all excited about this. Sarah said it weighed about 50 lbs but 15 was more like it. She put it back when they got done with it.

You don't mess with a black panther!

We took a mini vacation (seemed like a vacation to us) to Clarksville to check out the big Bass Pro shop there. It is huge! We easily spent all day there. Ate lunch there, I had blackened salmon on a bed of linguini, Terry had fish and fries and Sis had popcorn shrimp and we had a thinner wallet when we were done but it was good and we had enough left over to bring home for supper. The brakes went out on the van on the way home and we found an oil leak but we made it there and back all in one piece. It was fun especially for someone that hasn't been more then 20 miles away from home in at least 6 months! When we got back we spent a couple hours cleaning up the yard then decided to go fishing at the lake. It was a beautiful day in more ways then one.

Sarah brought him to me yesterday. He seems to have a broken wing. We cut a hole in a sock for his head and one good wing, enclosing the broken wing to immobolize it. Hope it works. Crows are BIG! I didnt' realize how big until I saw one up close.

They like to nibble on your fingers, Ouch!

Worried about my girl, she is feeling puny again. Sore throat, achy, and just puny. She missed church this morning.

Still bottle (dropper) feeding puppy formula every 3-4 hours but they ate just starting to nibble on apples or nuts. I take them to Bea's with me, Sis was going to try to raise them but she got scared that she wasn't doing it right and sent them back to me. These are Terry's babies, he so wanted some more squirrels to play with so he is tickled pink now.

They are still alive, seem to be thriving. The poop looks good and that is the most important part. I had to paint ones ears with white-out (thats all I could find) so I can tell them apart. So I don't just keep feeding the same one over and over.

Terry has been working in the woods this week cutting trees with a couple other guys. Today they cut a tree and found 2 baby squirrles. Well guess who gets the job of baby raising? They look to be about 3-4 weeks old and one is just barely getting it's eyes open. The have eaten 2 good meals so we might just pull this off.

Okay folks, it's time, time to join the crowd and get on Facebook. It seems that everybody is meeting there. I signed Granny up, Rachel's there as well as all her kids. If Mickey is in the pen and anybody sits down at the computer he comenses to set up a ruckus you wouldn't believe because this is where he wants to be. It takes him a while to get situated, balanced and settled but here is where he is happiest.

This cat thinks he is a dog. He loves to cuddle with the dogs. They don't really enjoy it but they put up with it. I guess it is because the dogs have heat and cats do love heat. Whenever the cat comes in this is where he goes.

Just a few of the orders that have been keeping me busy on my second job. I have 4 more that I am working on right now.

Ouch! I know how he feels. I got a booboo too. I was at Dad's house and the yard is covered with ice. I was going back to the truck and my feet went out from under me and the back of my head bounced off the ice. I think I looked just like that poor bear. Scared me and every one else but no symptoms, no headache, no dizzyness, sleepyness, nosebleed or crossed eyes. Thank you Lord! The back of my head is a bit tender but that will pass.
