Here is what we have been up to lately. Terry made 2 of these benches a couple weeks ago, put them in the shop for $25 each. A lady bought them and ordered 5 more. These are the two we made this weekend and delivered. She lives in a cabin by the lake and has them setting around their campfire pit.
Becky ordered the little guitar as a gift for the the McAmeys. They are the southern gospel singers that are really popular right now. One of the band members, a 13 year old boy, has been sick and had a kidney transplant recently. They will be singing in our area this Friday evening and Becky wants to give it to the boy as a gift. Becky is responsible for having them here and has had them come to our area a couple times before. I hope likes his gift.
A lady from Louisville stopped and ordered these signs as Christmas gifts. She will be picking them up this Thursday. $25 each and I made 5 for her. Not bad.

I still have 5 orders in the workshop in different stages of completion. Word seems to be getting out.

We had a church picnic at the park today. It started out a bit chilly this morning but with a bon fire and a little exercise it turned out to be a beautiful day for a picnic!

For all you gals that have lost weight, here is a question for you. Have you ever gone through your closet, back when you were bigger, and in deciding what to keep and what to save, decided to keep some of your skinny clothes thinking someday I'll get skinny again and be able to wear that? Well, I did keep a favorite blue jean skirt that I haven't been able to wear for at least 5 years or more and guess what? I wore it to church this morning! I have been occasionally getting it out and trying it on and usually couldn't even get it to come together at the waist but tried it on this morning and....... bingo!...... It actually buttoned! Yea Me!!!! I just gotta squeeze something!

Housework is Evil
Well, this is Friday and I have been home about 12 hours this week. Finally I don't have to worry about my house going to rot and ruin while I'm gone, Sis has been a busy little bee. Every time I talk to her on the phone she is cleaning something. Dad usually has the TV and she just finished her book so she is bored and needing something to do. I really appreciate the help, it's about time she starts helping without being told. It may have something to do with a promise of a raise in her allowance too. Anyway, I am just happy that it is happening. Terry has been sick this week and hasn't felt like washing dishes but Friday is Sis' day for dishes so hopefully it will get done. She did say that I don't pay her enough to wash dishes if she doesn't have to. We'll have to work on that I guess.
Today Lois took Sis and Timmy to Derby Dinner Playhouse in Louisville with the homeschool group.
It sounded like a nice little play. I hope they are having fun.
I have a pup for sale this weekend, see it at www.ruthkings.piczo.com He's a cutie.

I invited you on a walk so off we go. It's a beautiful Sept. morning, about 50 degrees outside.
The dogs are all excited, they love to go on a walk. I have an extra companion this morning, I was suprised she actually got out of bed but I was happy to have her.
Little pup got tired and wanted to be carried and she was happy to oblige, for a little while anyway......
Then who got tired? It is only a mile out, so suck it up kid, on your feet, lets go.
I couldn't resist sharing this beautiful blue sky. You don't see that in July or August.
Well, thats all folks, say goodbye Gracie.
Hey Sharon, I just wanted to say thank you for all your comments on everybody's blogs. You can be counted on and it is appreciated. I know when I first started I was discouraged when nobody commented so I know I should be doing better at it. I promise to try anyway.

Well, it's official.....it's officially cold in here this morning. I actually have socks on! I haven't had on a pair of socks since spring but this morning it was socks and a sweatshirt. I think I'll go take a walk out the lane and kick a few fallen leaves around. Wanna come? See you later.

Terry got out the 4 wheeler tonight and Sis insisted I go riding with him so here is Big Biker Momma and her hot Sugar Daddy checking out the wind.

We went out to the site we have pick out for building our new home, about the center of the photo below.
This is the view from the rear, they can't ever seem to catch up. He trys really hard though.
Just another pretty scene along our way.
When we got back home, Sis wanted to take me for a ride. Believe me that wasw a wild ride! She drives faster then Terry does. We did manage to catch these two out enjoying the cool evening. They were watching us just like we were watching them.

This is the view from Bea's dining room window. They disked the fields this year and replanted grass, that is why it is not green but the deer don't seem to mind. They are finding something to eat. In case you can't make them all out, there are 12 out there. The campers love it, the deer are almost tame.

This is Thursday evening and I have been at Bea's since Sunday morning. I did get Wednesday from 9-9 off but had to run errands and had church that night so I was actually home only about 4 hours. I am ready for a day off. Terry made a pot of veggie soup Sunday night and has been eating that for lunch and supper everyday since. He complains alot about having to eat the same thing over and over but I guess he would rather complain then make something new.

Here is how Sis does her school work. Shouldn't we all be so lucky. It was about 60 this morning so the blanket felt good.

A while back we had to make a decision, we had been having so many friends over for sleepovers that is was getting a bit ridiculous. I finally decide enough is enough and made a new rule ( she loves all these rules!) that nobody else comes for a sleepover and she doesn't go anywhere until she finishes up this year's school. It gives her an incentive to work harder and it sure makes it nicer at home. She is working hard though, it shouldn't be long before I have to think up another reason to ground her :)

Lois actually wrote in her blog! If you haven't checked it out, you might want to read it and say a prayer for Timmy.

Here are the latest signs. They were orders, some of this stuff I couldn't think up my self.
I am starting on another hummingbird one, will share that one with you when I get it done.

I still have one puppy for sale, one that someone put a deposit down on and decided not to take, so we took him to Sycamore Springs to get some good photos of him. I want to put him back on the website and see if I can sell him next week. He is 3 months old now but he is still a cutie. Terry started calling him Willie, said he looks like Willie Nelson. I don't see it but it is a cute name.

We took a couple other dogs with us to walk them in the park. This was taken in the gazebo. This dog we call Tinkerbell. Sis claims her and wants to start her own puppy business. She is trying to raise the funds to remodel one of the rooms upstairs into a bedroom for her. Poor child, she does not even have a bedroom of her own. She sleeps on the couch and keeps her cloths in my room. Maybe Tinkerbell can help her out in about 6 months.

This is on our walk in the park, the next picture shows what she was poking at. He was little though, harmless I suppose. I just wont get close enough to find out.

The flash seems to have washed out the picture below. I wish I had Mom's laptop, it has a photo editing program that would fix that right up.

Sis has started a blog, don't know how long it will last but you can go check it out, click here.

I finally got my hands on Mom's laptop. She left it here at Bea's so I can check it out and learn about it so if she has any questions, maybe I can help her out. She still seems very afraid to touch it almost, I need to be able to spend some time on it with Mom so she can get used to it. I first have to get it away from Sis, she just wants to play the games. She has gone home and Bea is in bed so now it is my turn.
I have been checking out the picture editing program that came with it. I took some pictures of Lil' Pup and it did a great job 'fixing' them. Just when I would get used to using it it will probably go out because it is just a trial program. If you want the good stuff I guess you have to pay for it.
I like the way things look on the screen, clear and bright. Just makes me want one now.
I had to set up Mom a new Yahoo account, I forgot what her other one was. It is now, JustAuntJan. I sent everybody a request to add her to your list. I hope you got it.

Wednesday, September 05, 2007

Hey Aunt Marge, she got it done! It turned out really nice. She said to tell you thank you again.

Saturday, September 01, 2007

This hummingbird one is going to Virginia in the back of David and Jeanie's van.

Finished this one up yesterday, and have 2 more started.

Little Chance the pup is doing great. Eating good and wagging his tail so we are happy campers.

Just an update on the sick puppy. Things are looking great! He came home from the vet Monday night not feeling good at all but did eat a little. He slept all day Tuesday I had to make sure he got enough liquids, mostly by syringe since he wouldn't do it himself. He seemed to feel better as the day went by. No vomiting, no runny stool. He is almost back to normal this morning, we have been blessed. God answers prayer!

Well, I am going to try this again. Here is what I have been up to. The squirrel one sold today. I seem to be getting more and more orders now. I just finished up an order today and have another to make by next weekend.
It was such a beautiful evening tonight that we decided to go for a 4 wheeler ride. It rained a little today so the humidity was down and it was actually pleasant outside instead of too hot to breath.

This doesn't show up like it really looked, the sky was dark with clouds and the sun was shining underneath the clouds. It was really pretty. This is the fields behind our house.

It is really weird what hormones will do to you! How everything looks so bleak for a couple days once a month. Terry said I looked worried about something last night when I got home and I got to thinking about stuff and sure enough, I was worrying about a lot of things. Things that really didn't bother me that bad at other times. Life looked so hard, mountains insurmountable, too many things left undone, too many bills to pay, house is a mess, etc. etc. It finally dawned on me what time of the month it was so at least I know this feeling is not permanent. A little cuddle with the favorite man in my life on the park bench under the tree helped. I slept good last night, at least you can't worry when you are sleeping. This morning I had the perfect prescription for lifting the spirits. An early morning walk with the dogs and while walking and enjoying the breeze and morning sun, a little communication with my Lord. Thanking him for all the blessings he has given me. Starting with my health and the ability to even take an early morning walk. There are folks out there that would love to be able to do that and cannot due to illness or other circumstances. I had my mp3 player along so I listened to a few chapters in Proverbs while enjoying the sunshine. Proverbs always seems to give me a lift. I listened to a podcast on how to improve my communication with my favorite man. It was interesting, always looking for ways to improve on a good thing. I finished up the morning with a cup of coffee on the porch swing under the hickory tree, listening to some good music. The dishes will be there when I get back. The floors will wait for me. The laundry isn't going anywhere. I have some swinging to do and nothing is going to stop me!
I feel better now. It's time to get those girls out of bed (Jessica is here for the week) and get our day started. I can tackle anything that comes my way now. I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!

Oh, and the fact that I've lost another 2 lbs. and we have 4 new puppies helps too.

Sunday, May 13, 2007

Yep, we had fun today, I'll share some pictures later. I think the tea party was the funnest. I have to get up at 6:15 in the morning to go sit with Bea in the hospital and my computer is sooooo sloooooow tonight so I'm outta hear. Good nite.

Ahhhhhh.........My laptop died!!!!! Nooooooo....... Pleeeeeeaaaaas!!

Boy, do I miss that! It wont load Windows for some reason. I hope it is fixable. I'll have to take it to the repair shop to find out though. I have done all I can think of to do.

Well, something must be working for me, I had 4 different people tell me Sunday Morning how good that outfit looked on me. It was a simple long black flared skirt with a lacy black and pink pullover top. It is an outfit I have worn before but nobody seemed to notice. Apparently something was different this time. Oh, I know, maybe it was because I LOST 12 POUNDS!
Thanks everybody for noticing. Hey you guys, it's fun to look in the mirror now isn't it? It isnt so scary when we accidently see our selves in the plate glass window, and now when sombody tells me to "haul butt" I don't have to make 2 trips!
