Thank God for dirty dishes;
They have a tale to tell.
While other folk go hungry,
We're eating very well.
With home and health and happiness,
We shouldn't want to fuss;
For by this stack of evidence,
God's very good to us.

Been having to wash dishes by hand these last few days. I found this on another's blog and it helped me when I see all those dirty dishes.

Haven't been able to talk Terry into going under the house yet with the spiders, mud, and who-knows-what to fix the broken pipe. I don't blame him, I wouldn't want that job either. Fridays are slow days for him and it should be reasonable warm today so we might get it fixed today. It is the pipe that runs from the pump to the wash machine, not an easy one to fix. Also, the hose that runs from the faucet to the washmachine sprays water when you open the faucet. That is what was getting water on the floor. Rug is still wet back there.

YOU'RE SO VERY RIGHT. WE ARE SO BLESSED WITH FOOD, WARM BEDS, CLEAN COVERS, RUNNING WATER, A CAR TO DRIVE, A SOFT PILLOW AND A TOOTHBRUSH. MY CHURCH MINISTERS TO THE HOMELESS IN LOUISVILLE AND TAKES THEM SACK LUNCHES. THEY ARE OVERJOYED TO GET A LITTLE BROWN BAG WITH A SANDWICH, COOKIE, APPLE AND A COKE. A CHURCH MEMBER HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL AND NURSINGHOME FOR THE LAST 7 MONTHS. WE HAVE OUR HEALTH AND CAN GET AROUND. HOW BLESSED WE ARE!

For all of our 26+years being married I have never had a dishwasher - always doing dishes by hand. My Mom had that same saying on a plaque for years - I remember reading it while doing dishes!

Ed hates to get under the house too,but you gotta do what ya gott do! I have had to get under there with him, and it is yucky!
A house with a basement would be so nice!
Tell Terry to put his coveralls on and and dive in! It helps to wear one of those headlights that that goes around your head, something like miners wear.
